Just a few random thoughts and pictures

I feel rather honoured…

Seriously, I’m feeling very happy today after getting a gift from someone online. The gift being a story, written specially for me…

Yes, someone over at Livejournal wrote a Nine/Rose fan fic just for me. I’m rather lost for words actually, especially since she offered to write me a drabble (100 words for those who don’t know) but it seems it took on a life of it’s own and ended up being over 5,000 words instead. Here’s a snippet…

Whatever the Doctor had been about to say in reply was lost in the loud slamming of the TARDIS door.

“What …” the Doctor said, squinting at his ship with a frown. He glanced at Rose almost suspiciously for a second, as if making sure that she wasn’t running off the moment his back was turned, and then stepped back toward the TARDIS. He pulled out his key and inserted it into the lock and turned it.

Nothing happened.

The Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver and flicked it through seventeen different settings (Rose was counting) before thumping his palm heavily against the wood of the TARDIS door in defeat.

“Let me in, you barmy ship!” the Doctor demanded.

If you’d like to read the whole thing, you can find it at jessicaqueen’s Livejournal here. And while you’re there, she’s also organising a Secret Santa style exchange of stories, so if you write DW stuff and want to join in, just let her know.

Now, since it’s a nice sunny day here, at least so far it is, I thought a nice sunny DT pic would be good. This is another new find, and is an “on set” pic taken during filming on Single Father…

  1. First… loved the story!!

    Second… isn’t he just a cutie-patootie!!!

(Note the gratuitous use of italics since figuring out about the html code. Mwahahahahaha!)

    • it is rather good isn’t it? she asked for a prompt and all I said was Desert Island, she did the rest. I also like her “Ten-Step Guide to Living With Your Not-Quite-Time-Lord Man” so I recommend that too, if you haven’t already read it

and yes, we have noticed all the italics, lol
